New research shows 64% of companies don’t feel able to manage remote employees
Fortune 500 and publicly listed large companies among more than 600 respondents to the State of Remote Work Report 2022, conducted by Insightful.

- 71.45% of company leaders will allow remote working, at least for some time.

Ongoing Challenges of Remote Work
The report revealed the growing acceptance and adoption of remote working. However, it also revealed that many leaders still do not feel fully equipped to function optimally in this new environment.
Among a wide range of findings, nearly two-thirds of respondents said they do not have the necessary tools to effectively manage their team’s productivity while working remotely.

Remote work is here to stay
Despite the challenges expressed, the report showed that 71.45 percent of company leaders said they would offer remote work to employees at least some of the time in the future.
Further strengthening the distributed workplaces of the future, the report also found that 64.68% of company leaders said remote and hybrid work would become a permanent fixture in their organization.

That said, the research also shows that there are ongoing challenges for company leaders when managing remotely. The State of Remote Work Report 2022 was compiled on the basis of online and offline surveys of companies of different sizes in different sectors. was done by remote working software company practical. In all, respondents from 620 organizations completed the survey over a two-month period from December 2021 to February 2022.
Respondents include leaders of Fortune 500 companies, publicly listed companies, privately held technology companies, government agencies, top universities and major media organizations.
