A week in Crete, Rhodes or Mallorca for less than 1,000 euros? You can only dream of it. As FOCUS Online has learned, the three islands are among the most popular vacation destinations for tour operators Tui, Booking.com and Check24. Higher demand is also driving the prices higher.

While tourists could fly to Heraklion (from Munich) for 760 euros in June, they now have to pay 1,800 euros for it. The price includes a four-star hotel, shuttle bus to the hotel and half board.

Not the only case! As Price Radar from Focus Online shows, vacation providers for package tours turn the price screw right in July and August. Sometimes it is a surcharge of up to 150 percent.

Instead of paying 1,000 euros, vacationers pay 2,500 euros for the same trip. Changing the scene abroad has never been so expensive.
